This is a great video clip, and I think the points Wendy brings up are well worth exploring and considering. I particularly like how she talks about giving her fears of saying or doing the wrong thing over to God and following the Holy Spirit. It seems like the fear of saying or doing the wrong thing is a prominent specter in not only this issue, but is a bigger problem certain segments of evangelical Christianity.
It almost seems like there's often this sense of God as the cosmic school principal who is just waiting for someone to get out of line. People seem to be afraid of taking one strong step, lest they feel the divine paddle. The problem is, this kind of fear is often paralyzing.
Wendy's suggestion to find freedom by giving over that fear and trusting God to lead you strikes me as a good one. Of course, trust is always a big deal. Trust implies that there's uncertainty to begin with. And I don't think we as humans are good at dealing with uncertainty.
